“Colour of India” exhibition at St. Petersburg: On 21-24 June 2012, the A.L.Shtiglitz St.Petesrburg State Art and Industry Academy in association with the Bhiku Ram Foundation, New Delhi organized the “Colour of India in St. Petersburg” – one of the largest Indo-Russian exhibition of contemporary art at the A.L.Shtiglitz St.Petesrburg State Art and Industry Academy. During three days paintings by 16 prominent artists from India, such as Ryas Komu, Anant Joshi, Manu Parekh, Pooja Iranna, Theodore Mesquita, Abir Karmakar, as well as canvasses by over 30 prominent Russian masters –Valery Mironov, Igor Vasiliev, Lev Dutov, Nikolay Sazhin, Svetlana Simina, Ludmila Kirsanova, Ogel Veselitsky, Larisa Korolyova were exhibited. The 23-member Indian delegation (comprised of organizers, curators and artists) attended the workshop and exhibition, which was very much appreciated by Russians.
